Cassie Sandsmark is my favourite of the Wonders. While Wonder Woman is the icon and Donna Troy’s Wonder Girl preceded her by thirty years, Cassie is the Wonder Girl I personally connect with.
And this outfit has a lot to do with it. I love its silly nineties earnestness.
1. Thing is, you could get away with wearing basically ALL of Cassie’s super-outfits as school clothes. She wears variations on jeans and a Wonder tee and as you see in the picture, her bracer-bracelets and star earrings exist for you to buy. The bag I chose based on her character rather than matching anything in her design (and I have to say, I love it).
2. While Cassie’s jacket is more a cropped black denim, I like the H&M jacket a lot. I can imagine someone adding a Young Justice or Teen Titans patch to make it a proper team jacket. I also chose biker goggles over a more steampunk version, but if you want those there are many to choose from on Etsy.
3. As a daughter of Zeus, of course Cassie wears Nike sneakers. I’m a big fan of mixing and layering jewelry so I might wear the black string choker and “lasso” gold chains together, but all of the jewelry can be worn together or separately depending on taste and achieve the same ideas.
